If you have ever wondered what it would be like to be a member of a legendary yacht club, Westport’s Cedar Point Yacht Club is providing an answer on Saturday, July 19.
It is inviting Westporters—friends, neighbors, newcomers, sailors and non-sailors—to a CPYC Open House and Family Day from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
For one day, the club will host guests as if they were a member. They will be able to see the sailboats, walk the docks and private beach, watch the fleets go out to race, enjoy a complimentary lunch, win prizes, and more.
Guests will be able to ask members about the club, sign up for local sailing schools and enjoy a free classroom sailing lesson and a free on-water sailing lesson, weather permitting, an announcement said.
