Westport police arrested an Easton man early Saturday morning after his vehicle struck another one, and he attempted to flee, police said.
Responding officers stopped the vehicle driven by John Sullivan, 21, of 9 Jesse Lee Drive, and upon approaching the vehicle detected the odor of alcohol, said Capt. Vincent Penna.
Sullivan was administered and failed roadside sobriety tests and charged with driving while intoxicated, evading responsibility and failure to travel a reasonable distance apart.
He was held in lieu of a $1,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on July 15.
