A Westport woman who attempted to drive around a police officer’s car positioned to shut down Main Street Thursday night was charged with driving under the influence (DUI), police said.
Marilyn Harding, 70, of 580 Riverside Ave. was released after posting a $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Thursday.
According to Capt. Vincent Penna, Main Street had been shut down while Connecticut Light & Power (CL&P) workers attempted to repair a power line that had fallen into the roadway.
Penna said Harding was belligerent to the officers and refused to perform any field sobriety tests.
