Club Green at Westport’s Staples High School is sponsoring GreenDay this weekend with a variety of events to promote sustainable living.
The effort is a successor to the club’s Ecofest, a festival held the past several years at the Levitt Pavilion to promote sustainable living while featuring local music, food, vendors, and businesses.
Because of construction of a new Levitt Pavilion and loss of use of that site, the club decided to retire Ecofest and instead put a new spin on promoting sustainability in Westport.
On Saturday, the day will kick off with a 9 a.m. to noon clean up of Dead Man’s Brook near the Westport Woman’s Club. Volunteers are asked to report to the lower parking lot at 44 Imperial Ave.
