A Long Island man who in October grabbed a woman from behind in a restaurant parking lot, used sexually explicit language and tried to kiss her turned himself into Westport police today on a warrant for second-degree breach of peace and unlawful restraint, police said.
Muhammad Jatoi, 37, of Peninsula Drive in Port Jefferson, N.Y. was released after posting a $5,000 bond.
He is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Monday, March 31, police said.
According to police, a female patron of a local restaurant made the complaint, saying that she had been approached while leaving the restaurant and that Jatoi had restrained her while attempting to kiss her.
