Gov. Dannel P. Malloy said today he is “disappointed” with Metro-North Railroad’s 100-day improvement strategy for Connecticut.
Metro-North President Joseph Giulietti on Monday delivered a letter to Department of Transportation Commissioner James Redeker outlining his commitment to immediate improvements at Metro-North.
He promised to provide final details on scope, schedule and budget actions in the 100-day plan once the findings of the Federal Railroad Administration’s (FRA) “Deep Dive” initiative to investigate Metro-North are announced.
“I appreciate the candid assessment of the challenges facing Metro-North and Mr. Giulietti’s professionalism and commitment, but I am disappointed that the letter did not provide more specifics,” Malloy said in a statement.
