UPDATE A 52-year-old Westport man was injured today when his bicycle collided with a van at the intersection of Hillandale Road and West Parish Road, police said.
Alix Boyer of Hales Court was taken to Norwalk Hospital with non life-threatening injuries following the 10:50 a.m. accident, police said.
A preliminary investigation determined that Boyer was riding his bicycle eastbound on Hillandale Road and failed to yield to opposing traffic at the stop sign at the intersection of West Parish Road, police said.
He collided with a van driven by Michael Troiano, 22, of New Fairfield, who was traveling north on West Parish Road, striking the left side of the van, police said.
