The Westport Planning and Zoning Commission tonight put off until next week action on a request to use municipal land at Jesup Green for expansion of the Westport Library.
There were only four commission members present and while they all indicated they would approve the request, several said they wanted all seven members present and also to include recommendations about the application in their formal response.
Members said they had concerns about expanding even more into Jesup Green, whether arrangements would be made to accommodate meetings elsewhere during construction, and how much the town would contribute to the cost.
The P&Z also put off acting on a request for a zoning text change by attorney Lawrence Weisman that he said would allow his client Bridgewater Associates to make changes to its 1 Glendenning Place headquarters property off Ford Road.
