UPDATE An Easter morning power outage blamed on equipment failure today briefly affected hundreds of Westport households.
Connecticut Light and Power said at mid-day that all customers had their power back. Earlier, as many as 1,317 customers, or 10 percent of the town, were out.
The utility said 19 customers in the Hillspoint Road area were the last to have power restored. Earlier the affected areas also included the Compo Beach and Compo Road South areas, the official said.
The outage began with an equipment failure about 6:45 a.m. with about 100 customers out as a primary phase went down. But it grew as other circuits were taken down to try to isolate the problem, the official said.
