The 36th annual one-mile, open water competition—the Point-to-Point Compo Beach Swim sponsored by the Westport Weston Family Y—is set for Saturday, July 20, with check in at 7 a.m., Y officials announced.
One of Westport’s longest-running annual sporting events, according to Y spokesman Scott Smith, the race draws participants of all ages from throughout New England.
Registration is available online at http://www.westporty.org or at the Y’s Member Services Desk prior to July 20. The fee is $45 before the date and $55 the day of event, Smith said. The Kids’ Swim is $15.
Smith said all proceeds support the Y’s annual campaign, which allows the nonprofit to provide camp scholarships and free or subsidized memberships to local individuals and families in need.
