Winter Weather Advisory Issued
The National Weather Service in Upton, N.Y. has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Westport and area for snow, sleet and freezing rain which is in effect from 6 p.m. today to 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Snow accumulation of one to three inches are expected along with up to a tenth of an inch of ice. Winds will be east 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.
Temperatures will be in the mid 30s with visibilities one quarter to one half mile at times.
Snow will overspread the area from the southwest late this afternoon and early this evening.The snow will then mix with and change to sleet and freezing rain overnight.
