Westport police tonight arrested a 21-year-old Trumbull man after he allegedly displayed a gun to a driver in what police said was a road rage incident, the second such incident on Westport roadways in four months.
Tyler C. Keiser was charged with threatening, reckless endangerment, and breach of peace and released on $2,500 bond for a Norwalk Superior Court appearance on March 8, police said. A black, 9-mm Glock, for which he had a permit, was seized as evidence, police said.
Police said they received a complaint that said Keiser cut off the victim on Post Road East near Bulkley Avenue who then flashed his high beams at Keiser. Reportedly, Keiser then exited his vehicle and pointed a black hand gun at him, police said.
Keiser, whose car was traced to a Trumbull address, was detained by Fairfield police who found his vehicle on Pemburn Drive, police said. Police found the gun, a Glock 9mm semi-automatic, in his waistband and recovered it without incident, police said.
