Library Offers Travel Services to Families

The Westport Public Library has a new service for parents planning trips with their children called KidsTravel@Westport Public Library.

Those interested in using the service should contact the children’s library at (203) 291-4810 or with the children’s names, ages, grades, travel dates, destination and purpose of the trip.

Parents should provide their e-mail address and phone number, and they will receive a message about when to pick up materials to prepare their children for their travel destination packed in a colorful travel backpack, an announcement said.

The backpack’s contents vary for each destination but might include stories, music, films, art books, and audio books related to the trip. The items need to be returned to the library, but the family can keep the backpack.
