UPDATE The National Weather Service in Upton, N.Y. has issued a Winter Storm Watch for Westport and area which is in effect from Friday afternoon through Saturday afternoon.
The watch said there is a possibility of snow accumulation of 10 to 14 inches, along with around a trace of ice with winds north 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 55 mph.
Temperatures are expected to be in the lower 30s with visibility one-half mile or less at times.
