Westport officials are reviewing an application to demolish the house at 376 Greens Farms Road. The house was built in 1919, and the Historic District Commission will review the application during its meeting on Tuesday. The house was sold in November 2005 for $810,000. A WestportNow.com teardown photo from Dave Matlow is now the featured photograph on the National Trust for Historic Preservation’s Teardown Page.
Does that make Westport the nation’s leader in Historic Teardown’s? That is a pretty shameful thing for our town to be known for.
Hope to see everyone this Thursday evening at the P&Z hearing on Amendment 562, 7 PM, Town Hall.
