Running for a Good Cause
The first annual walk and run to fight Lyme Disease through the Turn the Corner Foundation attracted a large crowd today to Westport’s Sherwood Island State Park. Westporter Orna Grand, who contracted the disease in 2002, organized the event which will benefit, among others, the groundbreaking Physicians Training Program, run by Turn The Corner and the International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society. It provides medical practitioners the opportunity to study with a Lyme-literate health care professional to recognize and treat Lyme Disease successfully. (CLICK TO ENLARGE) WestportNow.com photo
