Preservation Award Winner: 18 Roosevelt Road
Among the nine winners of the Westport Historic District Commission 2012 Preservation Awards to be presented in a rescheduled Town Hall ceremony at 7:30 p.m. on Monday is the house at 18 Roosevelt Road in the Compo Beach area. The HDC cites the respectful renovation of this 1922 colonial revival house for its contribution to retaining and reflecting the original character of this neighborhood, in the face of economic pressures to replace it with a larger structure.
