Power Failure Forces Closure of Family Y
UPDATE A power failure forced early closure of the Westport Weston Family Y today, but tonight the power was restored and it will reopen Thursday at 5:30 a.m. as usual, the Y said.
“We are striving to resolve this issue as quickly and as safely as possible,” the Y said in an email shortly after 3 p.m. Six hours later, it said the problem had been resolved and power was back.
The Family Y closed for a month after Storm Sandy because of flooding problems that knocked it off the power grid.
There was no immediate word whether the latest problem was related to weather issues.
