Parks & Recreation Director Stuart McCarthy has announced that the Westport Parks and Recreation summer program registration will be available online beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 14.

“In order to participate in online program registration, residents must establish an account including all family members wishing to register for programs at least 48 hours prior to program registration,” said McCarthy. “Online accounts can be established at”

The Parks and Recreation Department announced Feb. 18 that it had begun online sales. To date, almost 200 beach emblems and hand passes have been purchased online, McCarthy said.

Following the exclusive online registration on March 14, program applications will be accepted by mail, fax, online or in person at the Parks and Recreation Department Office at Longshore.

According to Karen Puskas, program manager, “The most popular summer programs will fill quickly so we urge residents to take advantage of the exclusive online only enrollment period for the best chance to participate in these exciting programs.”
