Jerilene Russell of Norwalk, a former longtime employee of Mediplex in Westport, died Jan. 10 at Bridgeport Hospital. She was 69.

She was born Nov. 26, 1943 in Anniston, Ala. to the late Herbert and Hettie Lou Jones. She was a student of Montgomery High School. She worked as a nurses’ assistant for more than 40 years for the former Mediplax Nursing Home in Westport.

She is survived by seven children Belveley Russell, John Russell, Zina Russell, Lisa Russell-White, Ingram Russell, Edwin Russell, Khalilah Russell, and Jeanette Russell; several grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. She is preceded by her nephew Michael Motley and niece Jennifer Edwards.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Jan. 17, at Canaan Institutional Baptist Church, 31 Concord St., Norwalk. The viewing will begin at 3 p.m. until time of service at 4 pm.. Interment is at the convenience of the family.
