Westport’s Interfaith Housing Association broke ground today on six new units of supportive housing—used as permanent housing for homeless people—on West End Avenue in Westport’s Saugatuck area. Several dozen persons were on hand for a ceremony marking start of construction. IHA received several community grants—including from the Westport Rotary Club and the Westport Sunrise Rotary Club—to help purchase the property. That led to the house being named the Westport Rotary Centennial House. (CLICK TO ENLARGE) Dave Matlow for WestportNow.com
