Hales Road Bridge Project Finally Under Way

The first concrete sign of federal stimulus money has come to Westport. The state Department of Transportation has established a field office for the $4 million in improvements to the Hales Road Bridge over the Metro-North Railroad tracks. According to George Petrus, the project’s chief inspector, the site is now being mobilized with bringing in equipment and ordering of materials.
