Ready for Tonight’s Playhouse Script-in-Hand Reading

The cast of tonight’s Westport Country Playhouse script-in-hand play reading of “Beau Jest” posed for a photo during today’s rehearsal. The play, a romantic comedy by James Sherman, is set in the 1980s when Sarah, a young, single Jewish woman, whose parents want her to marry a nice Jewish man is perplexed when her parents want to meet her boyfriend who, unknown to them, is a WASP. Joining the cast is Ann Sheffer (l), a co-sponsor of the production with her husband Bill Scheffler and Marc and Michele Flaster, actors Jordan Coughtry, Dana Steingold, Brian J. Carter, Lenny Wolpe, Cheryl Stern, Erik Liberman and Anne Keefe, curator and director of the script-in-hand series. =Tickets are $15 and are still available for the 7 p.m. performance.
