BOF Postpones Action on School Security Funding
Westport Board of Education Chair Elaine Whitney addresses the Board of Finance tonight on a $50,000 request added to its earlier approved request of the same amount to fund a $100,000 school security consulting proposal by the internationally known Kroll firm. After lengthy discussion in which Police Chief Dale Call said he had no input in determining the original scope of the study, the board decided to postpone action on the request for at least a week so Call could review the proposal further.
