Getting Ready for the Storm
The forecast of a substantial snowstorm on Friday has prompted Westporters to stock up on wintry needs. Gabriella Velez, employee and daughter of owner Richard Velez of Westport Hardware, 616 Post Road East, said that customers have already started purchasing salt, heavy car brushes and firewood. “On Friday we expect a big delivery of 25- and 50-pound bags of salt,” she said.
