Shirley Karstensen Remlin of Indian Trail, N.C. died Jan. 13. She was 83.
Born in Norwalk on July 8, 1929 to the late Harold and Irma Karstensen, she retired after many years as a secretary in the medical and legal professions.
She loved to travel the country with her husband of 61 years in their motorhome, was a talented seamstress, an avid reader, and had a special love for flowers and Native American jewelry.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph F. Remlin; their children, Diane M. Remlin, Guy J. Remlin, Nancy R. Donaldson, and Dean F. Remlin; a sister, Carol Puskas; four grandchildren, Sunny A. Mills, Alex G. Mills, Kevin J. Mills, and Everett A. DeLucia; three great-grandchildren, Faith, Anthony, and Jestin.
Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Wednesday, Jan. 23, at 11 a.m. meeting directly at Assumption Church, 98 Riverside Ave., Westport
