Marion M. Spencer, 94
Marion (Sue) Amelia Spencer, nee Moore, of Westport, a former Westport school teacher, died Jan. 11. She was 94.

Born in December 1918 during the flu epidemic she was named Marion in honor of the nurse who came and lived with her family to see them through the worst of the illness.
She was a longtime elementary school teacher in Westport and had a long much enjoyed retirement tending to her home and garden.
Survived by her sister, Ruth Moore of Southbury, a niece, Florence Shaffer, nephews Mark Moore and Charles Walls, grandnieces Victoria, Karen, Cynthia, Erica Maria, and Rebecca, and grand nephew Jeremy; nine great grandnieces and nephews, and five great-great grand nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, Luther Franklin and Katharine Moore, her brother Luther Franklin Moore, Jr., and a sister Louise Walls.
Services will be private. Burial of ashes will be in the family plot under the name Lemoine in Pleasant View Cemetery at Ludlow, Vt.
