Wanda E. A. Kokoszka, a former Westport resident and member of the Representative Town Meeting (RTM), died Nov. 12 in her home in Newtown. She was 74.

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y. May 21, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Wanda (Randic) Keating.  She worked for many years for National Airlines where she developed a love for traveling.

She lived in Westport from 1964 to 1998 and served the community as PTA president, member of the library board, as an RTM member from 1990 to 1995, and by working in the Westport school system.

She loved to be with family. Her sharp wit and overflowing zest for life will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no services.

She also had a great appreciation for American Indian culture. She loved wearing and collecting hats of all kinds and had a vast owl collection. She was a good wife, loving mother and great friend.

In addition to her husband, Stanley J. Kokoszka, she is survived by her sons, Stanley Kokoszka, Jr. and his wife Miriam of Newtown and David Kokoszka of Westport; and three grandchildren, Natasha, Victoria and Stanley, III.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no services.
