Harriet L. Mills, a lifelong Westport resident, died Oct. 19 in the Westport Healthcare Center. She was 89.
Born April 18, 1923 in Westport, she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Catherine (Healey) Mills. Prior to retiring, she was employed as a packer for the Caprice Footwear Company in Norwalk. She was also an avid fan of both the New York Yankees and New York Giants.
Survivors include two brothers, Irving Mills and his wife, Dolores, of Westport, Clifford Mills and his wife, Madeleine, of Sunapee, N.J.; two sisters, Evelyn A. Mills of Westport, and Catherine Pietrzak of Bridgeport; as well as three nieces and three nephews.
Calling hours have been omitted. Friends are invited to attend a mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, Oct. 25 at 10 a.m., meeting directly at Saint Luke Church, 49 Turkey Hill Road North, Westport. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery, Greens Farms.
