In the Holiday Spirit
![]()
The Westport Country Playhouse tonight hosted its second holiday movie night with a showing of a singalong version of the 1954 film “White Christmas”--a partial remake of the 1942 classic “Holiday Inn.” The audience joined in with stars Bing Crosy, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney and Vera-Ellen singing the Irving Berlin classic title song, which won a 1942 Academy Award for Best Original Song. Other songs included “Count Your Blessings Instead of Sheep,” which won a 1954 Academy Award Best Original Song nomination. In a surprise ending, “snow” fell on the Playhouse audience as the credits rolled. In the lobby, Jenn Bond, Playhouse community liaison director, and Michael Ross, Playhouse managing director, welcomed guests. (CLICK TO ENLARGE) Contributed photo
