CodeRed Alert is False Alarm
Westport police today issued a CodeRed emergency telephone notification about a missing 75-year-old woman, but it turned out to be a false alarm.
A neighbor told police she saw the woman, who suffers from Alzheimer’s Disease, walk away from her home in the Hillspoint Road area at 12:45 p.m. The alert was issued at 1:53 p.m.
But police later learned that she was not missing, and that later she had gone to the movies with her husband.
A telephone alert at 3:04 p.m. told residents she had been found.
