Secrets of Happiness to be Revealed at Senior Center
Seniors will have the opportunity hear about the secrets of happiness in a four-part course that starts Friday at 1:15 p.m. at the Westport Center for Senior Activities.
Richard Ellis, a retired physician, will lead “Secrets of Happiness,” and the series will be held on Friday, Jan. 20, Jan. 27 and Feb. 3 from 1:15-2:30 p.m.
He will talk about how we interact with the world, why misunderstandings occur including between the genders, and how happiness is achievable.
Ellis has been collecting quotes for over 25 years as he followed the observation of Disraeli who said, “the wisdom of the wise and the experience of the ages are perpetuated by quotations.”
His course on happiness has been a perpetual favorite at the Lifetime Learners Institute in Norwalk, where Ellis has presented for several years.
Students remember his pithy quotes, hilarious cartoons, and mind-bending wisdom concepts.
Ellis retired to this area almost five years ago from a 30-year career as a radiologist in Last Vegas. He and his wife, Carol, settled in Weston.
All seniors 60 years old and older are invited to attend any or all of the classes, which are free.
The Westport Center for Senior Activities is located at 21 Imperial Ave.
