Going Up (and Coming Down): 80 Compo Mill Cove
The house at 80 Compo Mill Cove is among the 23 Westport homes in the process of being structurally elevated following Storm Sandy—an effort partially subsidized by FEMA. According to Fire Department officials, the foundation of this house suffered structural damage during Super Storm Sandy. To facilitate replacement of the foundation, this home has been lifted exceptionally high to allow for installation of structural piles.
