Saugatuck Railroad Parking Extended Again

Effective Tuesday and continuing until March 5, Westport police have again extended daily parking at the Metro-North Railroad New Haven Line Westport station.

An announcement said the expanded daily parking is due to lower usage of permit spots which police attributed to the weakened economy.

Under the expanded parking, the permit parking area located in the center of Lot 8 on Saugatuck Avenue near Exit 17 will once again be open for additional daily parking, the announcement said.

In addition, the western end of Lot 4, also off Saugatuck Avenue and south of the railroad tracks, will be open to daily parking. Daily parkers will receive a $4 daily fee envelope.
